HIFU versus SBRT

After researching SBRT, it seems like a good option for low/intermediate risk prostate cancer, but someone mentioned to me about HIFU using thermal energy instead of radiation. Do these two therapies competitors with each other in that they both seem to be focal therapy?

SBRT is NOT focal therapy. It is "radical" - whole gland.

HIFU does not work, even when it's used full gland:

I thought it was whole gland but then saw where it is very targeted and got confused. It makes sense now. Thanks for clearing that up for me - very much appreciated!

With HIFU you are likely to need further treatment down the line.
