So I have had chronic lymphatic leukaemia for 6 years and recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.Father died from it and brother also has just had his prostate removed. .I’ve scored3/3 on Gleason, MRI showed a small area of shadow from which they took 17 and 2 active from that. Appointment on Tuesday, been advised by a phone call to watch and wait, what’s your thoughts? Thanks Martin

Some say 3+3 is more of a pre cancerous state / condition rather than actual cancer, have turmeric everyday and all the other anti cancer foods ie cucumber watermelon melatonin manuka honey, red wine (in moderation)

I recommend turmeric bc scientific research found that street kids in India didn't get lukemia they then discovered that it was bc of the turmeric they consumed daily in lentil dal at charity kitchens

Active surveillance seems appropriate. While PCa is partially (about 20%) heritable, its virulence is not.

My husband has aggressive CLL as of 2020 due to scans and radiation for BCR. I'll follow you if you don't mind.

Recommendation such as watch and wait is statistical in essence. I would think that with your family history the risk is greater than average. The question in my mind with such situation is how long does one wait. Whatever the case you want to be assured that the cancer is treated if necessary before it invades beyond the prostate so very active and specific monitoring would be required. I had 3+4 and I chose depot shot and brachytherapy. The Lupron depot had the dual advantage of starving the cancer as well as reducing prostate size for locating the seeds. It took 2 months to get past the side effects of radiation and I’ve just completed 5 months since last of two 3 month injections and my bouts of hot flashes and fatigue seem to be tapering off

I pray you make a good decision
