Advice on order of operations.

First, thank you everyone for the good advice. My urologist called to schedule a psma scan. That will probably take 3 weeks.

My thoughts on moving forward from advice I have received

-get slides reviews at John’s Hopkins

-Polaris or Decipher test. (Dr didn’t order that yet)

- meet with oncologist and radiologist.

But I’m thinking that all of the others are going to be dependent on waiting on 2nd opinion on slides.

if I’ve missed anything, please correct me.

I’m in the Cincinnati area. I do have the options of University of Cincinnati or the James center at OSU.

sounds like a good plan.

I agree with the second opinion from Epstein, and waiting for that.

I don't know what you hope to gain with a genomic test - to make exactly what decision?

Wrong doctors: an oncologist treats men with advanced prostate cancer, which you don't have. A radiologist reads scans.

The doctors you need to meet with are a urosurgeon and a few radiation oncologists with specialties in external beam and in HDR brachytherapy. I suggest Alvaro Martinez in Detroit for HDR Brachy and Dan Spratt at University Hospital Seidman in Cleveland for external beam.

You may wish to consider 5 treatment MRIdian SBRT at Penn State, or with Dr. Hank Greenberg at Jefferson or Himanshu Nagar at Cornell in NYC. Dr. Spray is topnotch. There is an active MRIdian program at Henry Ford in Detroit.
