Don't know if this has been discussed--this just crossed my desk. Non-selective beta-blockers at time of radical prostatectomy was associated with a lower risk of recurrence. Frankly, sounds far-fetched to me:

I share your skepticism. It was just a retrospective study. Other retrospective studies show added risk or no effect:
