Well, the time has come. Arrived in Georgetown this evening. My Retzius sparing procedure is scheduled for 0800 tomorrow morning.
May be a few days until you hear from me. Stay tuned and thanks for all the support up till now.

Michael,I read your blog. You have done your homework. You are well informed. Now just relax, and let the surgeon do his thing. Please keep us informed of your experience. Bestof luck tomorrow for a great outcome.Mike
The surgery upposedly went well. Took about 2 hours longer than planned. Both nerves spared which is good. Everything seems to be well contained in capsule. Staying overnight. Very tired. Some discomfort, but not terrible. Then again, I am on meds.
Keeping you in my thoughts for a speedy and thorough recovery. Best of luck!
In a short few months this will all be just a bad memory --Hang in there brother!!!
Came back home yesterday after 1 night hospital stay. . About a 3.5 hour drive whic surprisingly was not unmofortable at all.
Felt a bit sore when I got home, so took the Morton an Tylenol and wen to bed. Thus far, pain is about a 1, and I have a pretty low tolerance. Pain will jump up if I cough, which is kind of to be exlpected.
Catheter is draining well, pink lemonade. I highly recommend the suprapubic catheter over the ones up your penis. 100x more comfortable.
So far, so good. On Thursday we cap the catheter and see if I can pee.
Just got the pathology report.
Gleason 4+3=7, but all margins negative which is great news!
Some pain on right side when I cough but otherwise feeling pretty good. Have only been taking Motrin and Tylenol.
Cath comes out Friday AM so long as I pee. I think I will be able to as I have had some urine from Mr. Softy during bowel movements.
