I had combo external radiation and brachy 9 months ago..first two follow up PSAs were <.1. Third, yesterday, was .19. Although obviously still very low, it could be seen as doubling from 3 months ago... nurse practioner who handles follow ups didnt seem concerned, but.....curious about anyone elses thoughts

Bounces are a good thing after radiation - cancer cells are dying.

That's a small increase of Pca and could be caused by inflammation or irritations in the prostate bed. Wait for the next PSA. If you get 3 rises in row then maybe it's will be time for some action.

Thanks for the response. I actually have had some other symptoms which could be linked to irritation or inflammation, so hopefully you are spot on.

I agree with T_A.

Give it time - but what you describe is 'normal'.

Radiation 'bounces' happen even later because your PSA will increase (assuming no RP) and you are NOT taking any form of ADT.

Nadir - that a term to research 4 U.

Wishing you well on your journey.
