PSMA PET finds more cancer than Axumin

For guys with rising PSA, post-prostatectomy... This is for the Ga-68-PSMA-11 PET/CT scan. It was especially good at detecting cancer in the pelvic lymph nodes. It is only useful if PSA is over 0.2, but salvage radiation works best in men treated at the lowest possible PSA.

Good morning TA

My recent bone scan indicates that all the increase in my bones is on my left Iliac hip bone. My doctor seems reluctant to radiate the large spot even though it is very accessible. All other spots in my bones are stable and no mets in soft tissues. Is there a danger of radiating spots????

I have no idea what your individual anatomy is like. If the doctor is concerned, I would take that seriously. You should ask him.
