Slapped cheek and pregnancy

Hi,

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and work in a school. I teach in a few different classes on different days, the rest of the time I'm doing admin/meetings etcn One of the children in one of the classes I teach has got slapped cheek. Is this a risk to me? I'm worried it could go round the rest of the class. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Not sure what to say to the head teacher, I don't want to sound fussy but I'm worried and I've had a miscarriage before.

Thanks

yes it’s a risk to you it can be a high risk to the baby if you get it and you will need to let them know so they can risk assess the situation and limit your contact and risk of getting it until they are sure it’s gone. Slapped cheek often does spread around the kids for a few weeks you are right to think that could happen too 🤗 best be extra cautious I would say xx
