I had extra fluid "polyhydramnios" was diagnosed at 24weeks, i needed to have glucose test done to see if this was gestational diabetes, I passed the test 3 times at 24,28 and 35 weeks so consultant advised that as the test was passed it was idiopathic meaning no cause/reason found.

Have you got diabetes? As this could be a reason?

I was told that there was no cause for concern and it was checked on scans every few weeks to check increase/decrease. I did however deliver at 37 weeks due to my history, and the surgeon at the time said there was a smell to waters so baby needed to go neonate unit and be started on antibiotics as a precaution but my baby was off them after 48 hours and the results were clear.

If you are concerned speak with the midwife about this as everyone has different experiences, you can also read on nhs website also, and there are stories on here about Polyhydramnios

I’ve had a glucose test done around 25 weeks and nothing came up and no I haven’t got diabetes what will happen then with me as I’m basically 36 weeks and I’m 37 next weeks could they potentially induce me early or is it a case of having a look at my scan when I have it

Yes the consultant should make a plan with you as everyone is different with regards to levels of fluid, some don't know they have it as don't have additional scans, please speak with your midwife/consultant with any worries or concerns, I only had 37weeks delivery due to history of iugr, stillbirth and ectopic. You can still go full term with extra fluid

Oh gosh I didn’t know u could go full term I’m at the point in my pregnancy now when I don’t want to be pregnant anymore and my midwife isn’t listening to me as I’ve expressed soo many times how I’m feeling and nothing gets resolved

You can ask to change/speak with different midwife, are your concerns being wrote in your notes? Speak with consultant about concerns, as in my area it's the consultant who decides/agrees with induction/sections Please advocate for yourself with your worries you can also raise with head of midwifery/pals if your not being listened too

Thank you soo much I’ve asked for a meeting with a consultant and told her I’m still throwing up not keeping food down or liquids and how drained and how my mental health has gone really bad and her response was take anti sickness tablets and she hasn’t requested a meeting with a consultant for me at all she completely undermined me
