I am the perennial manager at a local greenhouse and I work full time during the growing season.
Due to health issues I'm only able to work part time, currently I'm a, receptionist in a leisure centre 😊☹️❤️👕👖

Unfortunately, had to give up work a couple of years before my retirement date. I was an advisor for the elderly and absolutely loved my job, previously I had been a trainer/supervisor but the last job was the most rewarding. I would love to be still working.x
I just started a new job yesterday! I'm an assistant at a pathology lab at a university 😁 Considering my degree is in English and then I was a licensed financial broker after college, it's really cool to have been able to make a career change to a totally different field

Hope you enjoy your new job. I had many career changes during my working life. I started out working in a special school when my children were young and I needed school holidays. Ended up at 63 working in hydraulics in the superyacht industry for a large American company. Loved every opportunity xx

Hello and Good Afternoon. wiselady I used to be a van driver for over 30 years and really enjoyed the job. Apart from very long hours. Went to some lovely places. But never got time to see them properly. Now retired. But I still miss a long drive and good music. Brian
hi, do you still go out for a long drive? my partner has classic cars and one of his things is going out for a long drive, so he makes sure he does regularly, its something the lockdown doesnt change !

I tried to retire last year . I have done all sorts of odd jobs , part time around my family . I started work whilst I was at school aged 14 , was a waitress all weekend - 15 hours a week and never been richer . I stumbled upon my 2nd job whilst walking in my lunch hour at school . I saw a poster for trainee managers in the shop window at Fine Fare supermarket . I was half way through my A levels at a strict girls school I hated . I slyly applied and got the job . I told my Dad on the Sunday night before I started the following morning . It was worth the shouting and a good slap . From there to the Tax Office /Civil Service , then another admin job . I met my husband we bought a house , got married and had a baby all in 3 months ! Since that part time - Sainsburys -23 years doing almost every job in the store from code checking , shelf filling , working in their staff restaurant then worked in Catering / Events . Trained at college 2 years to be a nursery nurse so I could take my children to work with me . My 5 boys all got to Uni and beyond so that was my career really . Now aged 60 I work part time as a Nursery Nurse and part time as a Domestic cleaner for people in my area .

I would as at the moment I have had several appointments with podiatry trying to get to the bottom of why I can only walk about 500 yards outside before I get severe pain in the back of my legs from the knees to ankles and then pain in my feet . Indoors I can walk pain free so I miss my outdoor 4-15 mile walks . Started at end of August last year . Now have insoles but await appointment so see whether the problem is circulation in my toes so yes - I need my work to pass time and keep my sanity . I won't retire early as keeps my brain active too .
