Coastline 2

Yesterday I had an MRI scan to find out the cause of the pain in my thigh. It takes amazing trust in the caregivers as they feed us into the scanner, doesn't it.

Today, to unwind, I did a coastline painting. This is a detail from it. Here's hoping that I continue to improve my paintings in 2021, and that the thigh/back problem is resolved.

Dear Brent_Wilson,

You are Right it DOES take Tremendous Skill, to perform some Medical Procedures. I had a Kidney Transplant, way back, in July 3013... this is where a Donated Kidney, is 'Plumbed' into your existing Renal System.

As regards your Picture.... how did you achieve it? Was it Water Colour/ Acrylic? It almost looks like Soap Suds or Euplastic Art. Maybe even partly Wax Resist. However you achieved the Effects, Very Well done indeed, Ten Out of ten.

Have you tried Wax Pastels? Fairly similar to Crayons BUT you can 'Go Over', and Blend colours, far more easily. I hadn't come across these myself until they 'turned up' in a, really lovely Art Set, that I bought Second Hand. (Hardly used and being Sold Off, on a Market Stall.)

Other techniques, you might try, included Sprinkling Salt (maybe more than one type) onto Wet Paint, Blowing through Straws or Turning the Picture- as it dries. An 'old' Hair Dryer can both help to dry your Picture generally and be used in Specific areas.... allowing for more paint to be applied.

Whatever you 'Do' Brent, enjoy yourself, and Stay SAFE. Here's Wishing/ Praying for a Happy New Year 2021.

That's truly beautiful and such an unusual perspective for a painting. The colours are as always, genius. Wishing you all the best for a good result from your scan so that you can achieve some relief going forward. And don't be hard on yourself with your painting. I think you have a unique talent and your colour palettes are just gorgeous. I don't think there's any of the paintings you've shared with us that I've disliked! 👍
