A 'Tad' off subject but.... have a Lamp Unit, above my sink- in the Shower/ Toilet Room. The Bulb, after about four-odd years Service, went 'Ping' this Morning. Clearly this Bulb has just Worn Out, there is much 'Silvering' of the glass internally.
It is a Standard 221mm (221???) Tube, so I should 'find' one quite easily. Else it is about £6:50- £7:00 On Line. (I can either order one for about £6:50- £7:00, including P&P or.... Order one for £3:50, with about £3- 4 Postage.)
Hopefully I'll 'find' one tomorrow.... it's a Very 'Handy' lamp- saves having to put the Main Lights & Fan on, every time I need the loo. I'll Wager that it will Appear 'Really Bright', I have cleaned all the Diffuser (crikey was it dirty!)

Good luck with finding a replacement AndrewT. Sometimes it can be tricky to find replacements so I hope yours will turn out to be a standard fitting (unlike my own). These are the sort of thing we take for granted until that sudden 'ping', and I hope your search for a replacement will be easy and not too expensive.
I'll 'Settle' for £10, for Four- including Delivery... in about a week. Looked on eBay, simple. Rather like the Ceiling Lights, if I have 'Spares', so does Everyone else. (I'm not exactly a 'Soft Touch' but, on the other hand, I won't leave a friend without a Sink Light either.)
I Would look 'On Line', for Your Bulbs too, there is an incredible 'Range' available. Why not give it a 'Try'?

Hope you find one Andrew. Isn't it sad that some things we can only get online.
I hope you find the bulb. My bathroom 2 set florescent 25 years old bulbs burnt out, and I couldn't find them at the hardware stores I went to . So In 2008 I purchased a beautiful chrome long neck bendable desk lamp, for $15 on sale. I put it on top of the old non-functioning light that had a built in shelf above it . I plugged it into the socket, and added a $1.49 on/off light indicator switch onto the plug entrance so that I wouldn't have to reach up to turn the light on, and off. Voila . The only problem is people who come to my house for the first time try to turn on the wall switch that operates the old light set up. Now I just say don't turn the light off in the bathroom . I hope you find the bulb you need, and I do hope pray you, and your loved ones will have a Healthy, and Happy 2021 New Year .Amen
Yes I have found, my Bulb, however the sellers Wife has Covid! I have indicated, that I can 'Fumble In The Dark'- for a few more days. He will Post it As Soon As He Can. I'll Settle for that.
