I make a traditional one as hubby likes it but tbh I'm not that bothered these days now there's just the two of us. The bit I like most is the stuffing and the roast potatoes. Oh and I love the cake, pudding and mince pies as I have a very sweet tooth😀

I don't do turkey I have chicken I think turkey is overrated and expensive just for the one day!we don't even buy a whole one anymore because it was getting wasted every Xmas and no one wants to keep eating turkey sandwiches !I'm not eating meat at the minute anyhoo so I'll be having potatoes gravy and veg I make my potatoes in goose fat which I love.the kids will have chicken pieces I love having my mint sauce aswell .i always prep night before and I make tonnes of potatoes cause everyone loves them and I get Maris piper from m and s .and no I don't think I'm posh I've always shopped at m and s since I can't quite see much price difference as everyone makes out I feel there isn't much difference these days.

I cook a nice piece of beef for my hubby and son as they only get a beef roast on birthdays and Christmas.

I am not a meat eater myself but will enjoy the veg and bread sauce.

Hi we usually get a crown as just the 3 of us with pixie but I used to like the turkey as the juices make it taistier when cooking it absorbes all the flavours we sometimes do a Yorkshire pud too I love most of all the roasts love it all sprouts parsnips roasted I don't like Xmas pudding xx

Give me a plate of pigs in blankets, roasted parsnips and Brussel sprouts, lardons, cream and garlic which have been in the blender and I’m 😊😊😊😊

the furbabies and I share a duck, lasts us two days, I prefer the sauces and veg though

I'm a long lapsed vegetarian but still prefer veggies to meat, so I'm happy to eat all of the traditional accompaniments but am lukewarm about the meaty part!

We've always had beef for Christmas day and a turkey crown for boxing day, but I love mince pies, Christmas pud and cake, unfortunately cows milk doesn't agree with me so I don't have anything with them,

I really prefer the cold meats and pickles of Boxing Day! 😱

Pickled cabbage, coleslaw, pickled onions, jacket potato. Nice glass of red......!

Oh no. How disappointing. Going to daughter’s this year so will have what I’m given and just be glad to be with the family!

We have Turkey as it is my husbands favourite and we only have it once a year, I actually think chicken is tastier. My favourite part of the meal,is the roasters, Yorkshire and vegetables covered in gravy. If it was my choice would have lamb. Never have room for pudding afterwards.x

I have a turkey crown in the freezer, a duck, a Wagyu steak, shoulder of lamb, and we will play it by ear closer to the day.

great idea, you might not fancy what you got for it otherwise, and you can always have all four over a few weeks

Eating alone at Christmas is not much fun - so I usually fast over Christmas....but recently some locals have put on Christmas lunch for anyone who would be alone at Christmas - but not this year.
