RIP Sean Connery

Hi all

Just seen this on the news, Sean Connery was a lovely man and a brilliant actor. My hubby and me met him by chance many years ago on Dartmoor with his wife, he was so lovely as was his wife.

RIP Sean.

Oh man. I loved him in 007. RIP

Same here, he was a pure gent when we bumped into him.

That's a shame I enjoyed his films he was a great actor I keep hearing more and more of famous people around my parents age dying and as my father recently died it does make me feel somewhat anxious about my mam but at least we can take comfort in knowing that they are living on just in another dimension in the spirit world 🌈🌟

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, it's hard losing parents. I remember the happy and funny times with mine. My dad went in 1996 and mum 2008, there was 11 years between them. They were awesome parents.

There is a spirit world.🌈😊

Thanks Alicia I'm sorry you have lost your parents I'm hanging on by a thread I sometimes feel for my mams life with this virus nightmare and here heart disease but thanks to modern meds she's doing really well it's her anxiety that's the problem right now. Yes I hope there are other like minded people on here that believe in the spirit world, and I will be putting the post out I mentioned soon 😊🌟were going for our walk now in the wind before it gets worst, enjoy a cosy warm day indoors with a good Shaun Connery film at least we will be getting plenty of them on I love old films 🔥🤗🌌it's full moon tonight so let's look out and say a prayer to our loved ones and for everyone we sure need positive thought energy putting out there xx

Sad news R.I.P. x

Very sad xx

I totally agree, I thought he was the best Bond, suave and sophisticated, ideal for the role. Yes he was 90 and a very good age. He really was a gent and down to earth, when he stopped and started chatting to my hubby and me he came across as the perfect gent.

It really has been, it does seem to happen all at once.😒

He really has Jerry, the best Bond for sure🙏

Oh most definitely Jerry🌈👍

Yes I do like Daniel Craig but do agree that Sean was what Bond was supposed to be.

He certainly did have everything going for him 'shaken not stirred'!

No I don't think I have.

😢 He is my favourite Bond - love his films, although in saying that, I do think Daniel Craig is good too.

in reply to Smiler53

He was my favourite as well and agree that Daniel Craig is good as well.🌈🙏

He was my favourite James Bond. I loved him in the film Marnie too. Sadly, yet another icon who has passed.

in reply to RoadRunner44

And mine but I'm glad he lived to a good age. Definitely an icon for sure.🌈😊👍

Ah right, well he was bloody good then 😂

I was so sad when I heard the news Alicia. Not that Sean Connery didn't live a long and productive life, but he was such a central figure in my film-going life when I was younger. He was so handsome in his younger days and that charming Scottish brogue.....

A sad loss!

in reply to

Same here Sue, he was my favourite Bond, suave and sophisticated. Oh his Scottish accent was actually quite appealing.
