Mobile phone cameras are good - for many applications they are better than the early "pro" digital cameras.

...but I have several cameras, and when I was taking pictures of the "tunnel path" I needed more depth of field - so I needed a (semi) automatic camera so that I could set the aperture. Mobile phone cameras are very small format - so they have good depth of field - but they cannot perform miracles.

The "Camera +" app on my phone does have a "full manual" option - but I cannot see any way to get it to use the 2* lens... yes I have found it!

You can tell it what to focus on and where to take the light meter reading, and set iso, etc.

I have just upgraded to Photo +2... which gives me editing options I do not need - and lets me tell Siri to open the camera - and take pictures.

What does your phone camera do for you?

We have an old Galaxy Note 8 (2013) and the camera on that is absolutely fantastic. It really does take very clear great shots. It's so much better than my phone camera.
