Hi, I'm new to this section of the forum.

I'm okay with being indoor 247 as I am hermit and don't have a social life but it's the working from home that's doing my head and as I work in IT (for local government) I have all the virtual meeting apps and am supporting colluages that don't normally wfh and these daily updates are also doing my head in I don't want it rammed down my throat every evening.

On the mental health side (as I have a tbi, depression, anxiety and asthma) I am talking with friends and am lucky enough to be staying with a neighbour as I can't bear to be on my own alot recently (due to a certain incident that I am getting support for) but I am massively PO'ed that the hoilday camp I go to and the hoilday I was due has been cancelled because the park in South Devon has been forced to closed I was speechless with rage when I received the email but the entertainment team have been doing live Facebook broadcasts as Friday was meant to be the parks opening night which has been keeping me semi same and I have been watching various live cams and updates from the swans in dawlish on Facebook which has also been keeping me semi sane.

Its disappointing isn't it when you are really looking forward to something only to have it cancelled at the last minute!

I was angry myself over cancelled things but have come to terms with it now as time has helped.

Yes it is annoying but I have now come to terms with it

Hi bexx87,

My daughter's having the same problem with her bosses, some of whom are expecting a 24/7 response to their last minute orders and requests, even when they wake suddenly at 2am and think of it, so call her. Why remember it yourself, when you can call an underling and have them remember it, or to forget it and take the blame?

Try not to be too upset about your lost holiday. It's happening to lots of people including me, and I'll be surprised if there are many of us who won't lose money on lost bookings.

What this crisis is teaching us is that we aren't as 'in charge' as we thought we were.

I'm glad you've got some support from your friends and neighbours and aren't having to face this alone. That's a big plus. And it will all pass one day. All things change. Take care and try to stay positive. Very best wishes.

Thanks I know it will pass (hopefully)

Im definitely not a 247 workaholic like I once was in my 20's age has made me mellow out lol and everyone in my workplace (even those who do log on at 11pm) know they won't get a response from me until 7am the next day, when I log off at 4pm i lock my laptop away unless management request otherwise which is then in exceptional circumstances and I think ask well will I get over time if I do this.

What this crisis is teaching me is that the government have funds or resources they can use even though they say they don't have

This is a good time for an introvert. At least there is one positive thing during this whole mess.
