Pre-medication issues for suspected PMR

Awaiting final test results for PMR and rheumatologist appt. 3 Drs. have already indicated PMR following examination, history and initial bloods.

My question is.....prior to steroid treatment did anyone have short periods when symptoms subsided, not entirely but regaining increased flexibility and less fatigue? Not related to particular times of day or pain meds. It's making me wonder if the initial diagnosis is right?

Yes, it can vary, especially in the early days and to some extent depending on what you have been doing and stress levels. I had untreated PMR for 5 years - no-one recognised a textbook presentation without raised blood markers - but some days/weeks were far better than others.

Thank you, it's a strange condition in terms of how it fluctuates. Unfortunately the good bits are short-lived. Roll on those steroids....I think🤔

Been thinking about your reply...5 years before diagnosis, you poor soul, I'm fed-up and it's only been a few weeks. Hope you are ok now?
