There was a short piece in the BMJ last week on PMR tapering with sarilumab which I thought might be of interest. I am afraid it is not a very good photograph, I am not the best at taking photos!

No, I just thought that people might like to see the comment from the BMJ. There have been a few comments on sarilumab on this board in the past.

Did the drug company get scared of the number discontinuing because of adverse effects?

But it is the Kevzara trial that the FDA has approved:

I must admit I was not that impressed with their statistics or their numbers, but I thought it may be of interest.

Must have been something else you'd think for the FDA to say yes.

Just read another article (about treatment for RA not PMR) which includes this:

"Despite these challenges, Kevzara, the first fully human monoclonal antibody (mAb) against IL-6, touts a stronger safety profile than Actemra, which is a recombinant human mAb and does not offer the same safety advantages of a fully human mAb. As such, GlobalData forecasts Kevzara to generate sales upward of $700 million across the 7MM by 2026, marking a significant opportunity for Sanofi and Regeneron, but not quite blockbuster."
