This am made sure I took 3mg. I am thinking of trying to alternate at 2 and 3 mg daily now in a few days. I am a tiny bit stiffer feeling this am than usual.
I have also mostly stopped the Ibuprofen and substituting 3 aspirins. Think since it thins the blood might help with hand circulation.

A word of warning about Ibuprofen and or aspirin, they are very harsh on the digestive system and not recommended to be taken when on Pred that can also have detrimental effects on your gut.
I also started taking a B complex vitamin to perhaps help with neuropathy issues. The only drug I ever took that actually helps with neuropathy pain is 2 large kratom pills which is not illegal in the US. I find it very mild in effect and it takes couple hours to knock back neuropathy pain. I find it useful in the evening around 5pm, lasts all night and helps me sleep better, An endo once prescribed gabapentin and I found it to be horrible the way it made me feel, simply could not take that, felt like I had been poisoned.
I began at 13mg late last fall; tapered down 1 mg per month; got to 2mg w/o any recurrence of my PMR, but when I tried 2.5, I got my first mild inklings of a problem in my shoulders and immediately went back to 2. Maybe I will try 2mg one day, 1mg the next, back to 2mg, etc. and see what happens.
