New approach to pain management

Hi all - recently I have been investigating alternative methods of pain relief and have been directed towards Sound Frequency Healing.

Let me say first off, I am very much a down-to-earth, practical person (and naturally skeptical) but I am also a musician and I know first hand how certain frequencies definitely affect living organisms. I was keen to investigate a drug-free approach to pain management.

Many of us are only too aware of the negative side effects of steroids, opioids etc and for me, any approach that does not depend on such is worth investigating.

Although this whole area can seem rather far-fetched, here's a link to some of the real scientific evidence behind the theory - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

Despite the title of this post, this theory is far from new, the Ancient Greeks and Pythagoras himself used similar ideas identifying the target areas of different sound frequencies.

Specifically, I was interested in targetting pain and the frequency that has been identified for this area - is 174 hz.

To generate a 174 hz tone, I navigated to szynalski.com/tone-generator/ and simply dialled in the correct frequency.

I carefully adjusted the volume to a suitable (relatively low) level and bathed in the frequency for approx 30 minutes (while continuing to work on my computer).

During and after this time I distinctly felt a positive response!

A quick search on Youtube revealed a number of other resources including Pure Frequency Specific Sound Baths covering all known beneficial frequencies targetting other areas including Alzheimers, Tinnitus etc.

I intend to continue my journey of investigation and would be most interested if anyone else has found Sound Frequency Healing a useful and beneficial technique for alleviating pain.

There is a lot of use of clang therapy here in central Europe - never tried it myself.

Always worth a whirl ...

PS - did you experiment with different volumes?

Re: volume - I just set it up for a comfortable level (I have tinnitus so I have to be a bit careful)

Wondered if you actually have to be able to hear it

I got something on a CD years ago for this - maybe i'll dig it out and try again. I got it for fibromyalgia, obviously it didnt cure me!! You can hear the frequencies changing. Might try it now that im retired. Would be relaxing.

Interesting - dial in the right frequency for relaxation - 432 hz should target the right area. - good luck!

Hi there.Well I have to admit to being quite sceptical about techniques like this, but I have to say it does seem to have had some success and I have heard of similar before.

I 'tuned' in and surprisingly found it very soothing and calming during the short 10mins I experienced it. I actually felt tightness in my arms legs, neck etc, loosening and also felt calm and chilled afterwards. So....there's maybe more to this than I gave credit for!

Definitely going to explore it more.

There you go - we're both (somewhat skeptical) converts!

Thank you for this post ! I used Rife music when I had cancer and firmly believe that had a big impact on becoming cancer free 4years ago. Having been diagnosed with PMR late last year I have been on another ‘tone’ journey and found the information you provided exceptional and the on line tone generator a godsend. Hope you are having good results with your own dilemma 😀 and would love to know how you are progressing with this. I am a kinesiologist and am currently investigating meta-medicine alongside general medicine.

Thankyou for your response naturalalways.

There seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding Rife machines. The machines work by producing very low energy radiofrequency electromagnetic fields - one study found that they can indeed prevent some cancerous cells from growing and another found that electromagnetic waves (albeit using a different frequency from Rife) can stop tumor growth however some practitioners promoting these machines were later successfully sued for fraud!

However your positive experience in becoming cancer free speaks volumes!

My personal sound therapy journey has just started - I'm just an interested amateur, your experience as a kinesiologist (I had to look that up :) will be vast by contrast!

Thanks BD, I'll try this out. I tried binaural beats for meditation though it didn't do anything for me. There is a lot of potential in vibrational medicine, though it is early days for understanding yet. I've been exploring photobiomodulation, light frequencies, and will post when I've given it a good trial.

Hi Viveka, I felt sure there would be others who have had experience with this type of therapy - and now photobiomodulation is on my list!

Interestingly, we recently bought a new fridgefreezer which uses a somewhat similar internal light technique designed at keeping food fresh - my Wife says that it works amazingly well!

Oooh, could you please send a link to the fridgefreezer; we would like to replace our gorgeous but clunky SMEG. The device I use is the Vielight 633. vielight.com/systemic-photo... Not expensive. I bought it in the UK via natures fix.
