Woke up to a slightly swollen tender to touch ankle. I didnt injure it although I did bruise the opposite side a month ago. Just wondering if its calcium deposit or could steroids do this? I'm currently tapering to 5.5 mg prednisone. im concerned too if it couldbe an infection.

I got a torn tendon and stress fracture of my ankle due to prednisone. It was not caught on X-ray, after being on a boot for a month and still in pain an MRI was done. I was put in a cast for six weeks and due to slow healing of fracture I was put in a boot again for a month then a brace. Hope this helps.
