Hi ,

At first I thought you had a prolapse due to pregnancy .

It must be very upsetting as such a young woman to have got a prolapse without the usual causes. I did learn recently a lot of younger women do get prolapses from certain exercises in the gym and also equine related careers where young women look after horses. You can still conceive and have children but possibly by caesarian just to protect you from further prolapse.

Hope you can see a specialist to discuss this and make sure you start now to prepare for your future. Some of us have a genetic weak connective tissue etc.. I had a hernia after childbirth which took two years to appear. After the repair I could have had another child but chose not to. I got another hernia 10 years later. I made the right decision for me. I have a prolapse now from episiotomy in childbirth. Lots to consider but it is all possible nowadays as long as you get the best care and advice.

Hope there is someone on here who has been through what you are going through and has had a successful pregnancy.

Good Luck x

I'm sorry to hear of your situation. My prolapse began in pregnancy, only 4 months or so in (when my friend's child jumped to swing whilst I was holding her hand). And it worsened from giving birth. I went through extensive gyny consultations and investigations and have been reassured I'm fine to get pregnant again, but given the continued problems I have I feel I couldn't possibly risk making anything any worse and having to live the rest of my life in that state.

It's now proposed that I have a connective tissue disorder of the small tissues, apparently a newer area of thinking.

I'm sorry I don't know if this helps. What it left me feeling is does anyone really know what will happen? It's fine for them to say it'll probably be ok, but they don't really know.

I was desperate more than anything for children. If I were you I'd consider seeing the most highly recommended consultant/s for advice. And consider I guess a very restful pregnancy, and definitely c section. Maybe some alternative therapies to support you, eg homeopathy, kinesiology

Wishing you all the very best x
