Physiotherapy cost

how are others dealing with woman’s health physiotherapy charged up to £150 per session in London?

the NHS physiotherapy services have no “hands on” approach. My vulvodynia responds beautifully to woman’s health physiotherapy but it’s ridiculous the amount of money that this costs privately. I don’t know what to do. I feel like it’s a luxury to have a chronic debilitating disease that people think is only in our head.

I’ve had hands on women’s physio on the NHS and I have used private as well. I live in the north of England and pay £50 per session.

My physio has taught me exercises I can do myself and how to use a wand so I only have to see her now when I have a flare up I can’t manage on my own

I pay £60 an hour for my pelvic floor/woman's health physio. I'm in the North of England. You probably pay more because you're in London, would it be possible for you to travel outside of London? I'm not saying as far as up North but within reason to get the price down a bit. 😊

I think its disgraceful that we cannot get hands on physio with the nhs. No funding. I was told this a few months ago. I am going to write to my mp about it and the media. Most people are surprised when I tell them. We are getting less and less now. Not many can afford private physio

I am very fortunate that I see my specialist women's physio (NHS) for vaginal trigger point therapy and consultant at hospital for 3mthly Botox Injections into pelvic floor.i have a diagnosis of levator Ani syndrome. We have a very good women's health team who share information this reduces waiting times to see various specialist. I stay west coast Scotland.

I have read that it's a post code lottery regarding treatments and waiting times are horrendous with clinics under pressure dealing with a backlog of patients resulting from COVID cancellations.

More women desperate for treatment are having to go to private hospitals which as you say costs a lot of money.

Hi, there are cheaper women's health physiotherapists in London, at around £70-90 per 30 minutes appointment. They have the same qualifications as the expensive ones in Mayfair and South Kensington... I agree with you on the NHS physio..
