Hi I suppose it's early days ..but I'm sure if you stick to the advise u will be ok give it a few weeks ..was it keyhole or vaginally..and how did u find it ..I've had a bladder prolapse and I suspect bowel aswell due to constipation for 10 yes I've managed it with hrt and a kegal 8 .collegan vits c and d honest sometimes if I have a relapse it's such hard work to get my pelvic floor strong again so I understand you having the op...Good luck with it but try to stay positive and do as they suggest and time will heal...❤

Thankyou for your kind words - I’m sure the op will be worth it in the long run. It was a vaginal op so plenty of stitches and I’m bound to feel sore. I’ll let you know how I am in a few weeks . Good luck with your prolapse ❤️

You too keep us posted ❤❤

Hi Tanglin. It's early days yet since your op and your bound to feel very tender and weak. I had a vaginal wall repair and bladder put back in place just over a year ago.. had soreness for about 2 weeks but I kept walking around the house and doing little jobs like washing up after a week. Then the discomfort started to improve but make sure you don't do to much. As for the bowel I take it your op was through the vagina. My bowel op was a prolapse from the bum and was repaired through the anus 2 years ago. That was very painful for 4 weeks. Was taking co-codamel. I hope this helps. I am 70years old. Hope you feel better soon . Sue

Take heart and have faith- it will feel better graduallyIt may take a fair while. You need to rest, lie on the settee when needed.Get as much help with household tasks as you can.You will later be able to walk further.Expect to feel very tired.Sending love Sarah xx

U are very brave to have had it, I hope you recover well. Do you have to change your lifestyle now? I have a bladder prolapse but am trying physio as so scared to have that op. Have had hysterectomy and lots of other endo excision surgeries but I am scared 😟 take it easy, very easy xx

Hi Tanglin, I had same op as well as urethrocele surgery on September 10th. I am doing walking i the mornings now and feeling a lot better. The first 3 weeks were very uncomfortable and I was extremely tired. I mentioned to my doctor and he said it was normal. Give it a few more weeks and you will be feeling much better, just don't do a lot of lifting and bending. I laid down a lot, on my sides because yes, it does feel swollen down there. I put a soft pillow on my chair when I had to sit and it really felt better. Hope you heal quickly and are happy with your surgery, 🌻

I was told by my uro-gynecologist at the Mayo Clinic it would take 4-6 weeks before the swelling went down. I have not yet had the surgery but planning it next week. I hope I made the correct choice. I am having almost more issues with my bowels than my bladder, but have been told that following surgery , I may be incontinent. What are your thoughts?
