Interstim for anterior hernia?

Saw a colorectal doc for FE & UI. On her exam she discovered the old problem which has been repaired several times a right-sided defective levator and recommends an interstim device. Interstim doesn't “lift up” or close a hernia does it? My anus slides down when walking and have to sit or lie down for relief. I’m confused about the effectiveness of an interstim device for an anterior pelvic floor hernia??
