Hi I have recently been diagnosed with POP and I can feel a bulge in my vagina the Gynecologist says this may be due to vaginal muscles weakening. I am not having sex but I am worried when I do because when i push my fingers into the Vigina it’s hard to get them in because of the bulge. What are other people’s experience when it comes to sex.

Been having a prolapse since 2008 started when I was pregnant well with mine I can push it back it's not hard it's soft with second pregnancy in 2016 it didn't bother me at all until delivery day they had to push it in while I deliver... My gynae said if it does not bother me we I must not operate. It's been 12 years with it and I'm 32 years old

Are your bladder and uterus prolapsed or is it only your uterus? If it is your uterus that is prolapsed there are exercises that are usually effective at reversing a prolapse. If your bladder is prolapsed exercise will not help. You can go to HERS@hersfoundation.org and fill out the contact form. In the comments section you can explain what you are experiencing and ask to have the exercises emailed to you.
