Too much air going nostrills

Would like to know whether any of my fellow members experience sensation of too much cold air through nostrils with no resistance. It causes real discomfort and pain and having to breathe through mouth but the discomfort is always there in nose.

All I did was to pull hair in my nose and whether this caused irritation to nerves in my nose. It was mistake but paying heavy price of discomfort and pain.

I do have nerve related issues affecting my body but still waiting to be diagnosed and whether this can be related.

Thank you

It could be related to a neuro problem you have or maybe a sinus problem, ask your Doctor. I seem to always have a dry nose and eyes, I also have neuro problems, which I think can cause all sorts of problems.

Thank you suzie44na, are there specific neuro problems that could affect this condition?.

I just had nerve tests done today to my feet, legs, hands and arms all ok no nerve damage there.

Not really sure but I have heard of Velopharyngeal dysfunction this can be due to neurological problems, but not sure which. I hope you can get some answers soon. All my nerve tests were normal too, but my muscle still twitch all the time. It is weird that tests come back normal when we are not normal, so to speak. It annoys me when I do not have answers.

All the best,

Suzie

Hi

I’ve had nose issues for years, last year was diagnosed with sleep apnoea and use CPAP. This drys it out even more. I’ve used a gel from a sleep charity which worked ok, recently started using coconut oil which works well. I haven’t a clue though if it’s good long term.

I’d suggest asking GP for referral to ENT to get it checked out.
