Hello I am new

Hi All, I am new to this group and I am hoping to connect with people and share advice and information. I have had pelvic pain for over a year now and I have seen a urologist but am waiting to see a gynaecologist. I have recently read some information on pudendal neuralgia and am hoping to get more information on this because my symptoms do seem fairly similar.

Hi Dreams555,

Welcome to the group! We have a lot of people on here who have PN so I’m hoping that some of them will reply to you post. You can also do a search on here which will bring up other posts relating to PN. I hope that helps!

Hi! I’m new as well. Did you do any Pelvic PT yet? I hope you get relief. I have been suffering for 3 years. I have had PN blocks through injections (no relief), but I’m more PFD or IC type symptoms. Diet doesn’t seem to help me, but I’m trying that along with Botox injections to the painful PF muscles that don’t seem to let go after PT. I have been to 3 different PT, as they all have different approaches. I’m still working on getting relief. Sending good vibes to you

Could you please stay in touch with me and tell me how the botox works for you because I may be getting that soon and I'm really nervous it will flare things worse

Yes! I haven’t felt much relief at all yet and I had it done 3 weeks ago. I’m hoping it will kick in more in another week since it can take awhile to work. I will try my 3rd time this summer if this one doesn’t help. I’m going heavy on doing PT and pelvic yoga stuff. Taking a low dose of Valium 3 times a day but that doesn’t do much for me (I don’t think so anyway). I have been on that since December. I hope you are having a good day and feeling ok

Hello and welcome I have had p/n now for over 3 years and had been misdiagnosed for 2 of those years my advise is get to a pelvic pain specialist this is very important a lot of dr.'s are not educated on this condition this is the best advise I can give you..I have found that women's p/t and the pelvic pain dr. Is when I started to heal..I am not taking the Rx medications but they do help many people it is a personal journey and I have found one size dose not fit all good luck

I agree try and get a PN specialist, I was going back and forward to my GP before I diagnosed myself with googling all my symptoms and I came up with PN and printed it out and gave it to my GP and said that’s what I have got and she had never heard of it.I know you are not supposed to google anything but I was in excruciating pain I had to do something, now I am getting the treatment I need, I am in pain every day but I can tolerate it and I do get bad flare ups but I suppose you have to take the good with the bad x
