Hi,I’ve had the ganglion impar block, did nothing for me.

My pain specialist wants me to have it again, but it made not the slightest difference to me. So I’m not having it again. I’ve asked the same question on here, and never heard of anyone who it helped.

Sorry to put a downer on it,but that’s just my opinion.😢

Yes, I had that at the beginning of my pain 9 yrs ago. Did nothing. Make sure you know what your symptoms are before getting these nerve blocks. A spine specialist did mine and when it didn’t work he sent me away saying there’s nothing more he could do. See a pelvic physical therapist first. I’m not happy that I went through all that for nothing because those spine doctors also gave me two other shots that did nothing. Now I am seeing a

uro gynecologist and she is giving me injections through my vagina into the nerve area that hurts. This is the only thing that has worked for me! Good luck 💗

Hi kalecolbe!!! I don't have pudendal nerve damage. My spasms were both levator ani and now have a spasming internal sphincter. Just great!!! Had pt for two years with manometry and didn't help!!! I'm sure the pelvic floor exercises helped but that's it. I take Valium tablets just 2mg. Use baclofen/lidocaine suppositories which r ok but not overly helpful. Going ahead with my hysterectomy as I cannot live with all the pressure from the bladder and vagina and rectum and uterus dropping. Also doing LIS sx to heal my fissure which I've had for months so this will keep me from having them!!! I can't sit here in pain much longer but the sxs will keep me here for awhile and I hope feeling better. All this has been going on for five years!!!!! I've tried Botox and trigger point injections which don't help!!! I've tried everything under the sun!!!! U name it I've tried it!!! Gabapentin did nothing!!!! I know this hasn't been helpful to u but u r at least trying!!! I use chlorzoxazone for my rectal spasms which is ok!!!! I sit on a heating pad a lot!!! Please keep in touch and let me know how u r doing!!! No one understands what we go through with this! They don't have a clue!!! I hope u can find some relief that will help u!!! I'm always here to talk!! Take care!!!
