Bladder pain/spasms

Hi,

I’m new to this forum. I’m hoping to get some advice with the problem I’m having. I have had five surgeries on my spine.

While I was recovering from one surgery, I had a bad night and ended up pulling the catheter out accidentally.

Ever since that surgery, I have been getting muscle spasms in my bladder. I constantly feel like I have to go. It’s a painful and burning sensation that never goes away. I’m not sure if it’s due to the situation with the catheter or if it’s just something that is happening to me now.

Does anyone have this problem? I am taking 50 mg of myrbetric once per day, 5 mg of Valium 3-4 times per day and AZO for urinary tract pain. Nothing gives me 100% relief. It seems to be getting worse.

One urologist recommended Botox shots. I’m terrified of that idea. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Similar problem here but unlike yourself ,it’s intermittent. I have spine nerve entrapment but it shifts so I do get some relief. Not having spine operated on just yet until it gets too bad so putting up with side effects of bladder / urethral pain. Have had this prob over 30 years, loads of tests ,infections never detected etc currently taking lyrica ,it helps more than anything else.
