Hello Everyone,

We have been asked to post this by Sian Newton who works at Queen Mary University of London about a research opportunity some of you in the U.K. Might be interested in applying for. The details are below along with a link providing further information

We are looking for individuals with experience of living with long-term, non-cancer pain, who have reduced or stopped their own opioid medication, to join our collaborative team at the Centre of Primary Care and Public Health, Queen Mary University of London and Warwick Clinical Trials Unit. The main focus of the role is to deliver and facilitate the I-WOTCH trial intervention at venues within London (and potentially Herts and Essex), the Midlands and South Tees alongside a trained nurse facilitator. You will need good communication skills to facilitate the group sessions, encourage discussion and inform and empower participants about self-management techniques. We anticipate that the training will take place over two days and will be held at Queen Mary University of London and Warwick Clinical Trials Unit. A facilitation manual will be provided covering all material needed to deliver the programme. The posts will involve travel around specified areas within your region with the majority of the work expected to be at community venues hosting the I-WOTCH intervention programme. A flexible approach is required to hours of work, which is offered on a variable hours basis to suit the nature of the intervention programmes as described above. Payment by the hour will be by timesheet completion.

More information can be found at: www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/med/...

To apply for the I-WOTCH lay facilitator role please email your CV and covering letter to cturesources@warwick.ac.uk

Please clearly state on your application which specific areas you are prepared to travel to and work in e.g. North East London only, West midlands only”
