I read on the patient UK forum that that bascically all women are not getting any surgical help for complications after childbirth or hysterectomy like vault prolapse or rectosele.

We have to live with strong pain with intercourse etc.

Which surgeon or hospital helps you with surgery?

I have read many have to fight to get help.

thanks, desperate

TRY THE UCLH IN LONDON, ASK FOR A REFFERAL TO MISS EL NEIL. I WOULDNT TRUST JUST ANY SURGEON. ARE YOU IN THE UK?

I did not have to fight to get help I had a cystocele and a Rectocele. The doctor referred me to a gynaecologist. At first I had to try the ring well that was no good. Went back and she said I needed the 3 way operation because the vagina had collapsed but would take it from when I was in theatre. I waited 3 months for op. To clear back log I didn't have to go to Medway which was good! I was sent to a brand new private hospital Kim's in Maidstone.

They did the op and found the vagina was in tact. So just needed the 2 way prolapse done. All went well which was 18 months ago. No problems what a relief not having to deal with that unpleasantness.

The prolapse didn't start to become a nuisance until 18 years after my hysterectomy.

It's not a nice thing for women to suffer there are some that are to embarrassed to go to the doctors. The thing is it could get worse and by then depending what grade it is its to late.

I feel for you but if you have to fight then keep making a nuisance of yourself until you get something done, it's just not fair. Having to deal with that on a daily basis can cause so many other problems soreness infections painful intercourse.

I hope you get it sorted

Jen
