The pain feels like trapped gas under my right ribs. I am guessing its the co2 gas they use? My GP isn't concerned but its so uncomfortable. Anyone else experienced this following a lap?

Yes. It is the trapped co2. It will pass but can be pretty uncomfortable. Drink peppermint tea and use a hot water bottle to help.
Thank you, will try both!
It sound like you might have just been twisted a certain way at surgery or inflammation .Can you take Ibuprophen for inflammation? We keep a script for 800 Mgs.,much cheaper than off the shelf. Judy r

The heat pads and peppermint tea do seem to have made a difference today, many thanks to Purplepixie for those suggestions.
