I have had undiagnosed sharp groin pain for over twenty years now. Initially it was only left sided and moderate, but now it is also right sided and severe. I am unable to sit or stand for long or do exercise. I am determined to find the cause of my pain, some people think I should just accept it, but the pain is getting progressively worse. I can no longer stand upright properly, or walk far, or sit comfortably. I have had a lot of spine related tests, and have a feeling I'm seeing the wrong kind of specialist. unless you know what the cause is how do you know who to see? If anyone has any ideas about what I have please feel free to contact me. I have had the following tests already: spine mri, discogram, SI joint injection, arthrogram, facet joint injection (one type, apparently there are many), Iliolingual nerve injection, blood tests ct scan of spine, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncture.

Hi do you think it could be related to gyne problems? Maybe the doctors could refer you for an ultrasound of the womb / ovaries? It would only rule it out if it was OK, maybe something to think of.
Thanks a lot for responding, I've had an ovary scan but nothing showed up as abnormal, I haven't had a gyne exam though. A family friend is a gyne consultant and is seeing me this week, she doesn't seem to think the issue with my periods I mentioned is significant though, or that she'll find anything, but fingers crossed she'll be wrong.
