Flying with b12 medication

Good evening,

Just wondering, if a person ever needs to travel (fly) with their b12 medication...

Is that fine? Has anyone had any issues with that?

I have flown numerous times and never had any issues. I have had my supplies in my suitcase, and also in my hand luggage.....never had a problem.

have also flown with b12 and needles etc in hand luggage, along with a travel sharps box.

Have never been challenged but keep a paper copy of the prescription in the box as well just in case.

Hi Suffering-sunny

I just flew Bristol to Edinburgh return with no problems. I had the B12 in original box and my needles etc and put them in a clear bag so took them out with all my liquids along with a letter from specialist.

There and back not mentioned or looked at even by security. As a precaution I had posted my supplies to where I was staying and so brought them back too. Best of luck and I hope you have an enjoyable trip.

Very similar to those who have diabetes, suffer anaphylaxis, anticoagulants etc so have to carry injectable medications, sharps boxes and needles.

I have flown frequently within the UK and to destinations in Europe back and forward. Always carry in hand luggage don't even require to put in plastic liquids bag. Carry in box clearly stating b12. Never had an issue in the past 14 years

I have travelled with the B12 injections/needles/syringes etc in the suitcase in their original packing, never been a problem as it clearly states on the packaging it is B12.
