PA/b12 and ferratin

Hi, extremely confused here, I have been seeing a neurology specialist for cluster headaches, my last appointment I mentioned that I'm mixing my words up and my RLS (restless leg syndrome is getting worse). He asked if I'd had my bloods done and who was overseeing care.. I am PA, B12 deficient, folate deficient. Always exhausted. Like a bobbing head.

26years

Yes I had. My G.P

I have recently been referred to heart failure clinic. I asked if he had a magic wand to help.

He said he could put me on an iron protocol.

Have you heard of this, this is the first offer of help I have had, he said my ferritin levels were at 35 and the lowest they had been for several years, when I ask my G.P he always says they are fine, but I know they are wrong.

Anyone on these infusions? Do they help?

Have you had a full iron panel done? 35 is low and you need the other test to see if you're iron deficient. When you say protocol, do you mean an iron infusion?

Yes, they're putting me on iron infusion, they've just done a full blood workup and said my iron was at 30, b12 is normal and vit d is low, there were 2 red lines but they said it was nothing to worry about.

Did they not give the actual test results to you? What was your transferrin saturation %? Am curious. Glad you're getting some help now.
