Evaluating Success

See profile for current understanding of my life long B12 deficiency and self designed supplementation regiment. July 2023

Over time I changed by supplementation starting 90 days ago. Before that I was improving to some degree. I used the pain from Peripheral Neuropathy to monitor improvement. It was obvious.

I now do not experience Peripheral Neuropathy to any appreciable degree. The reduction in pain was was dramatic when I self administered B6. 2 +- years ago. The last 90 day change in supplementation was not as dramatic as the B6 due to it being more gradual. At this point it feels like the Peripheral Neuropathy is going to act up again and it does not, that is all I have to deal with as far as Peripheral Neuropathy is concerned.

So through exploration/discovery/design I am working how how to evaluate for what I experience now. Note: 90 days ago I would have been ecstatic to feel as well as I do now. The most valuable comment from someone I love very much was "I do not know what you are doing but keep doing it."

It is hard to evaluate how the supplement is effecting me as I experienced symptoms my whole life and not having them is new. What I do now other than supplementation such as open water swimming is tied into how I used to mitigate symptoms my whole life. I am leaning towards that what I used to do to mitigate symptoms is now healing. I try as best I can to not have the same expectations as I am used to as I am healing not simply mitigating. Note: As it was normal for me I had no idea I was mitigating B12 Deficiency. I all but totally bought into it was all in my head, I did keep searching.

It is all complicated by the fact that healing/reversing out feels like things are escalating as they used to do before my current regiment. A main difference is I now can rest/sleep/heal where as before it would result in a increase in fatigue/crash. I still wait for that to happen and need to get used to that it does not.

I am 32 days since I was dx with COVID. That was not helpful nor was getting behind in "stuff" as I needed so much rest and sleep to recover from COVID.

Although I understand healing takes time, I do not accept that is it know how long with my current self treatment it will take me to heal. Pretty much my permanent neuropathy is not!
