Low folate without anaemia?

Hi

I’ve recently had some blood tests and it’s come back with a low folate level of 3.1 ug/l (range 3.9 - 20.0). My B12 was 429 ng/L

MCV 97.2 (82 - 100)

RBC 4.61 [4.5 - 5.9]

My question is that as I don’t seem to be anaemic (well according to MCV / RBC anyway …), would I be likely to have any symptoms of folate deficiency alone or would these come later as my levels start to drop?

I guess GP would call this sub clinical?

My fokate was liw without iron deficiency. However once j started b12 therapy.

My ferritin levels dropped .

My folate went up quickly on 400mcg folic acid.

My ferritin levels took longer on iron. HB dropped z bit but thrn it all stabilised
