vitaminquick.com Is the only one that I know of . You will probably hear of many others .
I wouldn't worry about trying to track down methylcobalamin ampules. Cyanocobalamin is just as effective as methylcobalamin. All types of B12 work.
I actually agree with you , but I feel that if someone really wants to try Methylcobalamin, well, they should do so. I tried Methylcobalamin ampoules from Arnika in Munich , and found them no better than Hydroxocobalamin.
You're right. Unfortunately there is a lot of misinformation on the internet about the MTHFR gene mutations. Unless you have a double mutation on the genes they are touting as problematic for your body's ability to use folic acid and B12 there is no problem. Even if you have a double mutation it only means you are slightly less able to use the B12 and folic acid you consume. I.have several of these mutations myself.
That’s very helpful! I have the mutation and have struggled with some b12 in the past, so I was told to try methyl. Did you notice any difference with hydrox and cyan in terms of efficacy?
I have only received cyanocolobalamin shots but I did try to take an oral methyl B12 to supplement my injections. Unfortunately the methyl didn't agree with me so I stopped taking it. Those websites that say methyl is what you should take are scaring people unnecessarily. Ask you doctor about the subject they should be able to explain it better.
I am in U.K. , where we use Hydroxocobalamin. I noticed no difference between Hydroxocobalamin and Methycobalamin, but i don’t have any gene mutations .
I'm in the US, I get a multidose vial of Hydroxocob. through CVS pharmacy (there is only one company that makes it in the US) --- the injectables that you will be prescribed will be cyanocob. (I prefer to have a prescription so that it is cheaper). I wish they would make ampoules
