Sorry for constantly posting but no where else to turn.

Does anyone know Is there any specialist I can go to who specialise in B12 in the Essex (England) area, I just need some guidance as I feel like I’m sinking in all the information and trying to treat myself, am finding it so complicated to know what to do and take?

My GP has suggested it may be my hormones as symptoms are the same and my progesterone and estrogen are very low (although I’m 63) she suggested HRT, in my heart and listening to everyone here I am sure it’s B12 but I’m getting so anxious now I really don’t know who to believe.

I would find out the pros and cons of HRT I was convinced to try it to reduce/ get rid of migraines.

Despite a very low serum b12 abd getting b12 injections at the time

A disaster of a 3 weeks ending in a 6 day migraine.

I never had migraines before b12 deficiency

Hormones will be low post menopausal. ?

I don't think a b12 specialist exist on England.

Some specalists rarely take a 'special interest'

Depending on your symptoms.

Get a referral to;

Neurologist

Haematologist

Gastroenterology

ENT

To rule things out

Keep a copy of latest bloods

You initially had a good response to b12 .

So continue with it and keep a symptom diary if nothing else found to treat??

Anxiety is a known symptom .

It is true hormonal symptoms can be similar to low b12. I was initially misdiagnosed with Premenstrual Syndrome and it was low b12 all along. I initially thought I was In peri menopause or even menopause but I was still a little young and having regular periods so those were completely ruled out. I hope you find the help you need soon!
