I posted a couple of months ago after I was refused 3 monthly b12 injections after a blood test came back measuring 173. After reading and taking advice from here I insisted on a telephone dr appointment to discuss my symptoms. I was then given a full examination by the dr and more blood tests were done. I was referred to have a brain scan, cardio check and haemotology. As a result I have now been diagnosed with polycythemia and have had venesection weekly for 3 weeks. I am off to see the doctor for results of further tests today. Does anyone know if b12 and polycythemia are related in any way ?
