Please could someone let me know where i can bu... - My Ovacome
Please could someone let me know where i can buy OC wristbands where all the money goes to the charity? susanmattock@aim.com
You can get them from this email address :-
tamsinarmstrong@yahoo.co.uk
they are a £1 each
Best wishes love x G x
I've never heard of those! Would be a good idea for Ovacome to sell them. Where does the money from the sales go?
Love W xx
The funds sent to tamsinarmstrong@yahoo.co.uk go to Ovarian Cancer Action. I've thought for a while that it would be good to review the articles for sale via Ovacome. I know they're not keen on people promoting fundraising for other Ovarian Cancer charities but you've got to be practical and if people don't like teal nail polish or what I would describe as teal costume jewellery then it's worth thinking of what people would like to buy.
Quite a few of us bought ribbon of words t-shirts from cafepress.co.uk and I'm not at all sure any money goes on to charities for Ovarian Cancer.
The Christmas cards last year were very pretty but people seem to be sending less and less cards. Perhaps an online card that we could purchase - rather like Jackie Lawson cards would be more ecologically friendly and raise some funds.
I'm looking forward to seeing Sue (PRChick)s scented candles. Now that's something I buy regularly and would be really interested in putting in an order - proceeds to Ovacome.

The email above is for the charity you are involved in Annie you know the action one nudge!nudge! wink! wink! (now you've got me at it)...to put a spanner in the works it is Irish not Welsh haha love x G x
Cafepress is a business not a charity.. just like if you went to any shop that does printing etc oh well can't win them all love x G x
Yes I was sad that no funds appeared to be donated to Ovarian Cancer charities but I did wonder about the ribbon of words logo and whether this was designed by a charity in Canada or USA so that charity received royalties on the use of the design.
The design is so very attractive and a lot of ladies on the site expressed an interest in buying a t-shirt or hoodie it would be good to create something like that which Ovacome could use for merchandise. I have an Ovacome Tshirt but it's a men's fit and even my husband who never notices what I wear said I looked like a sack of potatoes in it. Any design artists out there on the site who could help?
We could perhaps have a thought-shower on things we would be interested in buying. My list follows:
Sue's Scented Candles
Attractive Ov Ca t-shirt, or hoodie with something similar or equivalent to the ribbon of words
Set of collectible expresso or cappuccino cups with discreet sort of logo
Scented Drawer Liners
Birthday Cards - buy more of them than Christmas Cards
Ov Ca teal leather purse
Fold-away fabric shopping bag - perhaps those would only sell in Wales where you are charged 5p per bag. I would want to know how they choose which charity to donate to before I buy one. It annoys me that the shop chooses the charity and not the people who are paying. I'd def buy an OvCa one.
I'm sure lots of you have many more ideas as to what you'd buy to raise funds for Ovacome. xxx Annie

I hope this link works ok- this is the page that explains!
Sx
Thank you for posting the link, I'm afraid I couldn't post and paste so just copied the email address, also was reluctant to mention the charity because it isn't sold in aid of Ovacome (this charity) but they are sold for an ovarian cancer charity.
You can get them on eBay but I don't think the profits go to charity.
Cheers love x G x
Are we going to get another ticking off for this thread? lol xxx

put it down to my head being in a spin about politics Gwyn. I usually calm down if I'm allowed a little rant. You're seeing a not-so-easy side of my character.
Shortly to be serene, Annie Actually

Makes me think when a load of us get together for a night out in May we should book a dormitory and have pillow fights and a midnight feast! xxx
