Good News, a great relief

Hello ladies,

Well just to let you all know, the scan showed a couple of fibroids and a bit of thickening of the uterine wall, but ovaries were both fine. They did an external and internal scan and were very thorough. There does not appear to be anything pressing on the bladder, so it must all be down to nerve damage from my back. I would like to just say what a wonderful group of ladies you are and I wish I could repay your kindness and support. I will keep in touch and really hope you all continue to keep strong and feeling positive and well. You are all very special indeed, love and thanks to all of you Karen xxx

I will Wendy and you keep up the amazing work you are doing. My daughter has got the next fifteen years or so mapped out for me just with baby sitting duties.....Not really she too is very happy with the outcome, we forget how this thing impacts on our loved ones. All the very best Karen xx

Miracles do happen. This must be a huge weight off your mind. Now you can get on with the rest of your life and enjoy every second.

At least now you are aware of the symptoms.

With love and best wishes

Thank you Annie I spent most of yesterday crying, the relief was enormous, I too cannot truely say how I feel but a deep sense of gratitude to have been spared this journey. No doubt there will be others, I cannot express my overwhelmimg thanks to you all, love and blessings to you Karen xx

Karen I can't tell you how pleased I am for you, this is the first day of the rest of your life, I so wish we all had an outcome like this... but suffice to say you have cheered us all up, none of us would wish this on anyone...this is repayment enough ..but there is something you can do, try to raise awareness whenever you get an opportunity i.e. take some Beat cards when you go for a smear test and leave some there, leave some BEAT cards when you go fo a mammogram, and anywhere else where you think it might help to save people's lives, (today I gave some to the ladies in M&S) when people go for a smear they don't realise that it is not a screening test for OC so important to raise awareness. Ovacome will send you these cards if you tel 0845 371 0554 and request them.

Lots of love and very best wishes x G x :-)

I certainly will do that, OC touched my life and the effect can never be forgotten, I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity and will never foget your kindness. I have always said that knowledge is power and never more so than with this dreadful disease. Love to all Karen xx
