Found a lump........

Hi everyone just an update on my progress. I saw my oncologist today and I told her I found a lump, she is really lovely and said she would have a look. The funny thing was she said she would find it and not to show her where it was. I was about to say the words " cold or warmer , ha ha when after a while she said I've found it imagine, my dismay when it was in a different area. I showed her my original and now I have two lumps. She was not concerned as I am being seen by my surgeon regularly but said just keep an eye on them. It has at least put my mind at rest and I trust her so much that I feel ok now but it was a worry. It reminded me that even when I am well I still have reminders of this disease.

Hope you are all doing well.

Oh dear Lucy, what a worry. At least you have a brilliant relationship with your oncologist and you trust her judgement. I don't think a doctor could do better than that.

I hope you can take your mind of these two lumps and get on with enjoying everything life has to offer as there's no need to be concerned whilst you're in such good hands.

Hi Annie I've been to Saundersfoot many years ago but it might be time now to visit South Wales I always remember the people were really friendly.

Yes people in Wales can be very friendly. I don't know Saundersfoot but have heard it's lovely. The coast is generally stunning west of Swansea.

Cardiff's also a good place to visit. Impressive shopping centre these days. My daughters come home from London to shop here as it's so much more compact! xxx

Hi Lucy

Try not to worry...easier said than done! It just always seems like one thing after another with this awful disease, but thankfully your oncologist didn't seem concerned.

Take care

Hi Lucy

It is so hard not to get anxious once we've had this thing. I used to brush off any aches, pains etc with a "it'll get better in a day or two", but now I do get jumpy. I'm glad your oncologist has put your mind at rest. Hope you will relax now and get on with the good things in life.

Hi Lucy

How worrying for you... glad you got that reassurance. Somehow it always seems more cope-able with if one can keep the emotions/imagination under control - tho can imagine that dismay you must have felt. Not fun, but stay calm and positive as usual!

Hi Lucy.

How good to have such an understanding and supportive oncologist. I hope that nothing will develop and that you can get on with enjoying life. It's true what others have said, we never lose the fear 'oh sh##, what's that?' Has been said many, many times by all of us, I am sure.

Keep smiling and stay positive
