.. some good news. The hospital rang me tonight to tell me the biopsy has come back cancer free. So the cancer was totally contained within the cyst and left ovary. A part of me feels as if I've had a second operation for nothing, but it's done now and the relief is incredible, I didn't realise I was so worried about the outcome.

I still have to have the chemo as they recommend it and my appointment will be in a couple of weeks to start six cycles, which I don't feel like I want, but phew, I'm so happy tonight even though I'm still crawling around with stingy stitches.

I just wanted to share my news

Dear Lily-Anne

I'm delighted for you. It was wise to have the op to make sure this disease doesn't have a chance to get a hold. What wonderful news to be cancer-free. That's a cause for celebrations - itchy stitches or not!

Lots and lots of love and luck xxx Annie

Fab news Lily Anne. Am so pleased for you, what a relief. They will be doing the chemo to mop up any cells, so even tho you don't feel you need it, its extra protection for you.

Congrats,

Sue

Dear Lily-Anne

That's a great result to get. There'll still be plenty of support on here as you go through the chemo. You can do this. A year ago I had just started chemo too, after a similar diagnosis. Now I think I'm fitter and healthier than I was before it all started, plus I've got a whole new set of online.

Thank you so much everyone, it all feels so surreal, after my blind panic, although I just know I'm going to struggle with the chemo, I'm so worried about losing my hair.

I was talking to someone today who used to be involved in microbiotics and they told me that if just one cell escaped when they drained the cyst, or during surgery then it will be looking for somewhere to settle, scared me enough to decide I will definitely complete my treatment.

Hi Lily-Anne

Only just been on here after a few days away, I am delighted to hear your great news! Well done to all concerned. Not least ....YOU :-) I always worried that they didn't give me chemo. But it was ten years ago now, so I guess I am lucky ....so far! Do take the chemo option. The peace of mind is worth all the discomfort.

All the very best

Love Wendy xx
