Rise in CA 125

I had a blood test today which shows my CA 125 has risen from 260 to 380. I’ve read that normal range is considerably lower so should i be concerned? Will obviously speak to my oncologist but not sure when.

Hi, anything above 35 is a concern. I would contact today your oncologist or at the very least your Cancer nurse. To get them to investigate. The sooner they can look into things further the better. Sending hugs.

I would hope with this result that your team would contact you. It's Friday, so get ahead of the game and give your CNS a call, and ask what their response is to this news. If you have no symptoms, they may want to wait a bit and re-test in a couple of weeks, but you definitely need to know what is likely to happen.

I do have pain in my abdomen, cramping and back ache which my consultant was aware of a week ago and he ordered a Ct scan but I didn’t know about my CA 125 levels until yesterday…

please speak to Onco today. 34 or less is “normal”. Yours is high and climbing.
