Best time of day to take the CA 125 test

I know this might sound like a strange question but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I was wondering when you feel is the best time of day to take the CA 125 blood work so that you get the best results.

I was told that results can vary throughout the day by my Specialist over 6 years ago. She said that you can check hourly and get different numbers.

I tend to think that doing it early in the morning before eating anything will give a lower number but I don't know for sure. I was wondering what your experience has been and what you think.

I honestly have not heard it varies by much through the day. Yes it varies during the course of the menstrual cycle but with that gone after my debulking surgery, I do my quarterly blood draw first thing in the morning, more for convenience than anything else. Also where I live, I get the results the same evening and so I avoid tossing and turning with a nightly wait. So I wouldn't worry about time of day.
