Nariparib migraines

Hi

I’ve been taking 200g Nariparib since November. Before my OC diagnosis I suffered from migraines but they have got much much worse since I started taking Nariparib. Has anyone else had the same problem. I don’t really want to reduce my dose but the headaches are unbearable and are happening much more often….

Dear Mintybiscuit

Thank you for your post. Headaches are a common side effect of niraparib, as you can see on this list from Macmillan: macmillan.org.uk/cancer-inf...

I'm sorry you are experiencing unbearable migraines. Please do discuss these with your oncology team so they can help alleviate these for you.

I hope they are able to resolve your migraines soon for you. If there is anything it would help to talk through, please do direct message us through the forum, email support@ovacome.org.uk or call 0800 008 7054 Monday-Friday 10am-5pm.

Best wishes

Anna

Hi I’d check my BP. This medication can cause hypertension and a symptom of that can be headaches as I found. Wasn’t a big problem after my initial panick! Started on an anti hypertensive and carried on with the Nirsparib. X

I’ve been monitoring my BP since I started and it is normal so it must be something else.
