Endometrial cancer

I posted a short while ago about my concerns about dermoid cyst.Things have somewhat changed in that I had a post menopausal bleed on Friday and has continued since.

I saw my GP today who did an internal, she couldn't do a smear as there was still too many clots.

She has red flagged me for an urgent gynae appointment (3 week wait maximum).

I've to go ahead with the colonscopy on Sunday as previously arranged.

It's all a tad crazy and not helped by the fact that I have shingles for the second time this year.

Its all a bit scary but I'm hopeful that it won't be cancer.

Hi Pat666

You poor thing, having to have a colonoscopy while you already have shingles! I hope you get some answers, sounds like your GP is a good ally and is determined to find out what is going on xx

It's going to be a hectic week.Colonoscopy is in the morning, currently drinking vile prep.

Then on Wednesday I have an ultrasound then on Friday I have a hystercopy ( wrong spelling).

I still have shingles so I'm not sure how I'm going to manage,I guess tomorrow will give me an idea if I can manage?

I am absolutely terrified of the procedure on Friday, not just because of the shingles but because I need a new knee and the stirrups will be beyond me.

I'm thinking of requesting a general anaesthetic but don't even know if they will consider that?

It's been a busy week.Colonscopy showed diverticulitis which is ok.

Had an ultrasound yesterday and it showed endometrial lining is only very slightly thickened ( 5 mm).

I'm meant to be having a hysteroscopy tomorrow but I'm going to request a general anaesthetic,

I have advanced osteoarthritis in both knees, putting my legs in stirrups would be beyond me as even a straight forward internal was difficult.

If they suggest a vaginal scan I can just about manage that without the stirrups.

I'm so confused by all of this to be honest?

I'm assuming I'm ok if my endometrial lining is only slightly thickened and that it's unlikely to be cancer?

What happens if I bleed again, surely I won't have to go through all these tests again?

Is it likely that I'm going to resume periods after 27 months free and at the age of 59?

Totally confused, appreciate any info.

Many thanks.
