Good afternoon everyone

This post is to let you know about an upcoming webinar with Ovacome titled 'All about Lynch Syndrome' on Monday 4 September between 5:30pm - 6:30pm. This webinar will give an overview of Lynch Syndrome, how it is linked to ovarian cancer, how risk is managed for those affected, and ongoing research.

This webinar will be led by Dr Tracie Miles and Laura Monje-Garcia, lead nurses for the Lynch Syndrome national transformation project. The project is working to improve the identification and management of Lynch Syndrome, bridging the gap in testing and diagnosis of Lynch Syndrome and supporting the early detection of cancer and access to personalised care.

To learn more and to register for the event, please visit: ovacome.org.uk/Event/all-ab...

Ovacome staff are here to support you, so please get in touch if you have questions or are unsure about how to join the session. You can call us on 0800 008 7054 or send us an email via support@ovacome.org.uk.

We look forward to welcoming you to this webinar.

Best wishes

I am looking forward to this webinar. I have an extremely rare form of ovarian cancer and Lynch Syndrome. I’m hoping the Doctors hosting will have information on possible treatment options for someone like me.

Dear westone7

Thank you for your reply. It’s great to hear that you are looking forward to this webinar. The speakers will be providing general information about Lynch Syndrome and will be unable to provide individual advice about treatment. We would always recommend talking to a member of your clinical team for personalised guidance about the most appropriate treatment options for you. We hope you find the webinar useful in informing these conversations; the Ovacome support team would also be very happy to help you plan or prepare for any upcoming appointments, if you think that would be helpful?

In addition, I just wanted to let you know about a few Ovacome resources designed for those with rarer types of ovarian cancer.

- ovacome.org.uk/rare-ovarian... - This information booklet is about rare ovarian tumours and can also be sent via post, free of charge, if you prefer. This includes an Ovacome webinar recording research updates in rare ovarian cancers with Dr Marcia Hall.

- youtube.com/watch?v=nZHv4w7... – This is an Ovacome webinar recording with Professor Charlie Gourley. Professor Gourley discusses the rarer subtypes of ovarian cancer and the latest research.

- ovacome.org.uk/Event/rarer-... - We know that living with a rarer cancer can feel especially isolating. This online group is an opportunity to meet others, ask questions and share experiences in a friendly and supportive space. We meet from 2-4pm on the second Thursday of every month and you would be really welcome to join us.

I hope this information is useful. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is anything you would like to talk through or any questions we may be able to help with. You can send us a message here on the forum, email us via support@ovacome.org.uk or give our friendly support line a call on 0800 008 7054. We’re here Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm.

Best wishes
